Offset printing is a widely used technique for long print runs such as newspapers and magazines. A plastic coating is applied to a number of rollers inside the printing press in order to transport the ink or spread it over the rubberized roller. A special type of Rilsan® has been developed that we apply to both new and existing / renewed rollers.
For used rollers, the old Rilsan® layer is thermally removed in our pyrolysis furnace. We then sandblast the core and cover it with an oversized Rilsan® layer. This layer can be finished very precisely with any desired profile to make the roller enjoy it’s second life.
